Which interface should I use?

MCP Best for agentic workflows. Your AI client discovers available tools automatically — no manual HTTP calls. Works natively with Claude Code, Cursor, and any MCP-compatible client.

REST API Best for custom integrations, scripts, and automation tools. Standard JSON over HTTPS. Use it to build your own tooling or integrate MdPlex into any stack.

Rate limits apply to both interfaces. Free accounts: 10 req/hr shared across REST API and MCP. Builder plan ($9/mo): 500 req/hr. Generate your API token in Settings → API Tokens.
